Dangerous goods: verify first, then commit

Dangerous goods cannot be answered with a simple yes or no. We verify the class and whether the documents are complete, then assess the arrangement under the applicable rules — we do not promise acceptance in advance.

Dangerous goods are where most forwarders say no. We verify the class, then work out how to move it.

The first step is always verifying the properties

  • Provide the MSDS, showing the hazard class and the UN number.
  • State the packaging method and packing group, plus unit gross and net weight.
  • Confirm the intended transport mode — air and ocean apply different rules to dangerous goods.

Why we do not commit upfront

  • Acceptance depends on the carrier's rules, routing restrictions and destination requirements.
  • Any conclusion drawn from incomplete documents is unreliable and misleads the planning that follows.
  • Our approach: complete documents → assessment → a clear yes or no, rather than agreeing first and looking for a way afterwards.
FAQ

Dangerous Goods · common questions

QCan you ship dangerous goods?

We need to verify the hazard class, whether documents are complete and the intended transport mode before we can say. Please send the MSDS and UN number first.

QCan you ship without a packaging certificate?

Dangerous goods normally require the corresponding packaging documentation under the transport rules. Without it we cannot begin the assessment, and we will not commit while documents are incomplete.

QCan dangerous goods travel with general cargo?

Under the applicable rules dangerous goods usually require separate arrangements. Whether co-loading is permitted depends on the carrier's acceptance rules.
