Break bulk and oversized cargo

Equipment and out-of-gauge pieces beyond container capability move as break bulk or project cargo. Lifting, lashing and routing are designed per shipment.

Out-of-gauge pieces other forwarders turn down — we design the lifting and routing to move them.

PROJECT · Break Bulk & Oversized

The gates a project shipment passes through

  • Cargo parameters: length, width, height, unit weight, centre of gravity, and whether it can be dismantled.
  • Lifting capability: crane capacity, working space and working hours at both ends.
  • Routing: height, width and weight limits along the route, and any permits required.
  • Securing and insurance: the lashing plan, and cargo insurance matched to value.

What we provide

  • An executable transport plan built from the equipment parameters and the conditions at both ends.
  • Coordination of lifting and securing resources at the load and discharge ports.
  • Dedicated staff at both ends, with project milestones and exceptions tracked centrally.
FAQ

Break Bulk & Oversized · common questions

QWhat counts as oversized cargo?

Generally cargo exceeding the internal dimensions of a standard container, or a unit weight beyond routine handling capability. Send the dimensions and weight and we will identify the suitable mode.

QHow far in advance should we plan?

Project cargo needs a longer lead time. Where a route survey or permits are involved, planning must start early. The actual lead time is assessed per project.

QHow is cargo insurance handled?

Insurance can be arranged against cargo value. The coverage and exclusions follow the policy terms; we assist with the arrangement.
